Karishma is a data and technology lawyer in Allen & Overy, specialising in all aspects of data protection and privacy law. She has particular experience advising companies from a wide range of industries on data ethics matters, Artificial Intelligence, data compliance projects, big data, social listening, cookies, adtech, internet-of-things, augmented reality, the use of data in the provision of consumer and business products, and complex data sharing arrangements.

Karishma has been involved with AI advice and thought leadership for a number of years, and is a key member of A&O’s global AI working group. She was recently invited by the OECD’s Insurance and Private Pensions Committee to speak on AI in pricing and underwriting.

Karishma is Co-Chair of the SCL Privacy and Data Protection Group Committee. SCL is the leading UK organisation for legal professionals advising and practising within the technology sector.

Karishma is recognised for data protection and information law by Chambers and Partners and has also been named one of the ‘40 Under 40’ in the Global Data Review list.
