Matt Clifford CBE

Matt Clifford CBE is the cofounder of Entrepreneurs First (EF), the leading global talent investor and incubator. In 2025 Matt was appointed the UK Prime Minister's Adviser on AI, following the publication of the AI Opportunities Action Plan. In 2024 he was the Prime Minister's Representative for UK Summit on AI Safety, and he is Chair of ARIA, the UK's Advanced Research and Invention Agency. Matt serves on the board of Code First Girls, which he co-founded in 2013, and is a trustee for the Kennedy Memorial Trust. Matt was awarded a CBE for services to AI in 2024.
