Dr Varshita Sher

Dr Varshita Sher leads the Agentic AI team at Haleon in the UK. Her team leverages state-of-the-art large language models (LLMs) and agentic workflows to strengthen consumer intelligence and address regulatory, compliance, and data governance challenges across the healthcare sector.

Dr Sher leads strategic partnerships with global tech organisations to deliver secure, responsible, and enterprise-grade AI solutions. She advises C-level executives on AI strategy, risk management, data security, and responsible AI adoption. She has authored board-level white papers on AI strategy, emerging risks, industry controversies, and the broader organisational impact of intelligent systems.

More broadly, Dr Sher is an AI and ML specialist with a decade of experience spanning Pharma, FinTech, EdTech, and Defence & Security. She holds a PhD in AI from SFU, Canada and an MSc in Computer Science from the University of Oxford.

Dr Sher also advises on EU research and innovation initiatives and collaborates with leading academic institutions including King's College London and University College London. Her current work focuses on building trustworthy, evidence-grounded AI systems that combine advanced reasoning, knowledge retrieval, and governance controls to support decision-making in highly regulated environments.
