Anna Thomas MBE

Anna Thomas MBE is Founding Co-Director of the Institute for the Future of Work. She was formerly a barrister from Devereux Chambers, specialising in employment and equality law and was appointed a Counsel to the Equality and Human Rights Commission.
Anna was Head of Policy for the Labour Party’s Future of Work Commission and is a Fellow of the Institute for Policy Research, RSA and IEO. Anna has advised the UK Government, Opposition, Centre for Data Ethics and Innovation, Trade Union Congress
and WEF on AI governance.
She is currently undertaking a DBA at Warwick Business School and has been awarded a scholarship for Women in Leadership.
In the 2024 King’s Birthday Honours List Anna was awarded an MBE for her services to Research on the Future of Work.
