Deborah Morgan works in the Futures Team at Microsoft AI to explore and communicate the future and impacts of AI. Her work focuses on scenario planning, foresight methodologies and understanding the wider societal implications of advanced technologies.
Currently completing a PhD on regulatory sandbox schemes and AI, Deborah has previously contributed to initiatives within the UK Government and at The Alan Turing Institute researching AI in public services and healthcare. She began her career as a corporate projects lawyer and went on to develop an interdisciplinary profile through roles in education research, digital governance and technology strategy. She has authored a range of reports, articles and led workshops on participatory governance, AI adoption and integration. She is particularly interested in supporting organisations and wider society to prepare for the opportunities and impacts of transformative human-centred AI.
