John Shaw

John Shaw is a senior product leader with decades of experience turning complex technologies into products that deliver value for customers. His experience spans cybersecurity, dev-ops, financial infrastructure and enterprise software, but his sector of expertise is artificial intelligence. He translated his Masters thesis on an early neural network approach to speech recognition into his product role at the Cambridge University spin-out, Entropic, which was then acquired by Microsoft.

As VP for Product Management for Sophos, John was responsible for building and managing the engineering team through a period of vast growth for the company, from early funding through to IPO. He also oversaw the integration of a deep learning product that identified malicious code into the enterprise security stack. As COO of Luffy, John manages the product development and engineering teams building Luffy’s proprietary neuroplastic AI models, as well as all company operations and marketing.
