Ryan Othniel Kearns is a doctoral AI researcher at the Oxford Internet Institute and at Oxford’s Laboratory for Human-Centered AI. Ryan studies the cognitive faculties of frontier AI systems, including reasoning and agentic capacities, personality quirks and alignment challenges. His research intersects modern computer science with philosophy and methodology from experimental psychology. Ryan’s research is generously supported by a Clarendon Scholarship and a Cosmos Fellowship.
