Steve is director and founder of PrivacyX Consulting, a special advisor to the law firm Allen and Overy and a visiting policy fellow at the Oxford Internet Institute. Steve previously worked for the ICO, the UK DP regulator, for 15 years, 6 of those as Deputy Commissioner responsible for policy and strategy.  He was also Chair of the OECD Working Party on Data Governance and Privacy between 2019 and 2022.
