Elizabeth Seger

Researcher at the Centre for the Governance of AI (GovAI) and a research affiliate at the Centre for the Study of Existential Risk (CSER)

Elizabeth Seger is a researcher at the Centre for the Governance of AI (GovAI) and a research affiliate at the Centre for the Study of Existential Risk (CSER) at the University of Cambridge.   Elizabeth leads GovAI’s research streams on AI Democratization – seeking to better understand what it means to democratize AI and how this understanding should be reflected in AI model publishing standards – and on Epistemic Security – investigating the impacts of emerging AI capabilities on how people produce, process, and share information. Elizabeth also holds a PhD and MPhil in History and Philosophy of Science from the University of Cambridge and a BSc in Bioethics UCLA.
